Message from the President
Dear Purchasing Colleagues and Associates:
First, I would like to congratulate William Myers, III, on achieving Lifetime C.P.M. Certification. This achievement reflects upon many years of dedication to the Purchasing profession and one of personal growth and development through the pursuit of continued education.
Change. This word remains affixed in my mind after many months of political campaigning and even now after the election of the country's 44th President. What is change? According to Webster's Thesaurus. Change is defined as to alter, modify, make different, shift, reorganize, exchange, replace or, even revolutionize. This one word, with it's many meanings, is exciting for me personally as it suggests that life should never be uneventful and filled with compliancy. But, should be something which provides on a daily basis the opportunity for experiencing new beginnings, to learn something new, make a new friend, and to always experience life to it's fullest.
With this thought in mind, I invite you to experience a new change by joining and participating with the Asheville Chapter, of ISM-CV, next Tuesday, November 11th. Our guest speaker will be Raymond Owens of the Federal Reserve, who will provide insight to the economic outlook for the new year ahead and what impact the new leadership of the country may have on the economy. See additional details for this and future meetings, educational opportunities, professional resources, and member contacts in the attached bulletin.
Sincerely,
Steve Bitner

Chapter Mentor's Message
By the efforts of a few, great things can happen. As the Mentor for the Asheville Chapter I have had the pleasure of guiding the few that are in the process of doing great things. They are endeavoring to bring back the Asheville Chapter to its former status within ISM–CV. I support their efforts and hope that each of you will make the effort to support them and the Asheville Chapter restarting the monthly meetings and soliciting current members to become active again. These few, who are now the current Board of Directors, have a vision that includes bringing purchasing specific education and networking back to all of the Asheville and surrounding areas Supply Chain/Purchasing professionals.
Sincerely,
Anthony Napoli, M.S.M., CBM, Lifetime C.P.M.
President, ISM–CV Upper SC Chapter
