Message from the President
Members,
Reminder that our Nov. 4 meeting will be at Twin Oakes in Forest, VA with the program being on “Contract Law” and presented by Linda Yochem. Linda will also follow up with a one day seminar on “Effective Contracting” on Nov. 5 at the Hilton Garden Inn, 4025 Wards Road in Lynchburg, VA. We are still accepting registrations at $129.00 up until the day of the seminar. We currently have 28 people registered, which is above the goal we had set at 25.
Anyone interested in attending please notify Brian Long. The Central VA, ISM-CV chapter does not have the capability to process credit cards, so we request that those attending pay by check, money order or cash. Attached in this month’s newsletter is the flyer for Linda Yochem’s seminar in Nov. If you have any questions, please contact Brian Long or myself.
The board is still planning a supplier social in Dec. but have yet to finalize the format or location for such an event. One suggestion has been Schmokies in Wyndhurst, which now has two private rooms over the restaurant. As we get more details on the format and location, I’ll advise the members.
I’d like to start planning the 4th annual golf outing in Dec. so anybody that’s interested in being a part or helping with contacting sponsors, please let me know. I’m looking forward to having another successful event.
Sincerely,
Rodney D. Bryant

Starting in 2008, student members of ISM will have the opportunity to attend the Annual Conference & Educational Exhibit at a drastically reduced rate — basically enough to cover the cost of meals for the duration of the popular event. ISM continues it's commitment to attract and involve younger professionals and students studying supply chain management as well as other disciplines of business. |
