It was with this mission in mind that the nine charter members laid the cornerstone of our purchasing association in 1920. Today ISM—Carolinas–Virginia, Inc. serves a total membership in excess of 2000 over the three-state area.

Congratulations to Cidna Unger of the Richmond Metro Chapter. Not only has she just earned her C.P.M designation, but she was awarded the 50,000th C.P.M. Cidna was made aware of her elite status when she received a call from Andrea Waas at National. After receiving the call, Cidna looked again at her newly framed certificate and sure enough, there it was…number 50,000.

Cidna set her goals to complete her C.P.M. about 4 years ago. She studied and passed the tests for Modules 1 and 2.

Then her employer, Alcoa, had her start up a new service center which demanded more of her time. After transitioning the procurement Service Team to Pittsburgh last year she was again able to complete the last two modules for her certification.
